Over the last couple of months, for one reason or another I have gotten back into gaming and I had forgotten just how much I love it. Whether its gaming by myself on a dreary weekday afternoon or gaming with friends to relive our nostalgia, or even adding new games and consoles to my humble little collection I really enjoy gaming. So much so in fact that I decided to create a blog dedicated to just that; gaming. I’ve decided to brand the blog as Gamercreatrix – taking inspiration from my brand name Mishacreatrix.
The idea of a digital photo frame really appealed to me as I tend to take lots of photos but am reluctant to print them all. Having one would let me display all the photos I want in a nice display without the complication of sending them away to be printed, collecting the photos, putting the photos into frames, photo albums etc. I did price digital photo frames online but liked the idea of building my own, and what better way to go than with a Raspberry PI!

Feel free to take a look for yourself and download one or all of the sets to use on your next project. If you have access to Photoshop or Illustrator you can customize the icons to your heart’s content!
Christmas time is upon us again. To mark the glitteriest (definitely not a word) time of the year, here is a quick tutorial I put together to show you how I made a Christmas icon set. You’ll be able to follow along if you are so inclined, or you can simply download the finished product and use as you please!

My interest was sparked in this area when a friend showed off his media server setup at his house. He could access a wealth of movies, tv, shows and pictures on his phone and laptop from anywhere in the house.
Of course I had to emulate this in my house, this was so cool!
The following tutorial describes the steps I took to create a home media server with a Raspberry Pi.
Dealing with an office move, particularly one that happens rapidly, can be a stressful thing to deal with. The office is where you spend most of your time, let’s face it, so changing location is a big deal. Your environment, your routines, your car parking space are all going to change.
Having gone through an office move recently where I work, I was interested in learning about how people handle this on a personal level. My online research mainly showed articles that were more focused on the business itself and management of an office move rather than how employees manage a move on a personal level.
