Banana Bread Recipe

Makes: 1 Loaf

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Coooking Time: 45 minutes

Oven Temperature: 180C


  • 50g margarine
  • 125g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 bananas
  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • splash of milk (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.

  2. Grease or line a loaf tin.

  3. In a bowl, beat the margarine and sugar together until smooth.

  4. Add egg, vanilla and bananas and combine for a further minute.

  5. Fold in the sifted flour and cinnamon.

  6. Add milk as necessary to ensure a dropping consistency.

  7. Spoon the mixture into the loaf tin and bake for 45 minutes.

  8. Enjoy!
